【摘要】:Fieldtestsprovidethemostreliablerelationshipbetweentheaxialloadappliedtoadeepfoundationandtheresultingaxialmovement.Testresultsmayalsoprovideinformationusedtoassessthedistributionofsideshearresistancealongthepileshaft,theamountofendbearingdevelopedatthepiletoe,andthelong-termload-deflectionbehavior.Afoundationdesignermayevaluatethetestresultstodetermineif,afterapplyinganappropriatefactorofsafety,thepileorpilegrouphasanultimatestaticcapacityandadeflectionatserviceloadsatisfactorytosupportaspecificfoundation.Whenperformedaspartofamultiple-piletestprogram,thedesignermayalsousetheresultstoassesstheviabilityofdifferentpilingtypesandthevariabilityofthetestsite.Iffeasible,withoutexceedingthesafestructuralloadonthepile(s)orpilecap,themaximumloadappliedshouldreachafailureloadfromwhichtheEngineermaydeterminetheultimateaxialstaticcompressiveloadcapacityofthepile(s).Teststhatachieveafailureloadmayhelpthedesignerimprovetheefficiencyofthefoundationbyreducingthepilinglength,quantity,orsize.Ifdeemedimpracticaltoapplyaxialtestloadstoaninclinedpile,theEngineermayelecttouseaxialtestresultsfromanearbyverticalpiletoevaluatetheaxialcapacityoftheinclinedpile.Note18212;Thequalityoftheresultproducedbythistestmethodisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection/etc.UsersofthistestmethodarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thetestmethodsdescribedinthisstandardmeasuretheaxialdeflectionofaverticalorinclineddeepfoundationwhenloadedinstaticaxialcompression.Thesemethodsapplytoalldeepfoundations,referredtohereinaspiles,thatfunctioninamannersimilartodrivenpilesorcastinplacepiles,regardlessoftheirmethodofinstallation,andmaybeusedfortestingsinglepilesorpilegroups.Thetestresultsmaynotrepresentthelong-termperformanceofadeepfoundation.1.2Thisstandardprovidesminimumrequirementsfortestingdeepfoundationsunderstaticaxialcompressiveload.Plans,specifications,and/orprovisionspreparedbyaqualifiedengineermayprovideadditionalrequirementsandproceduresasneededtosatisfytheobjectivesofaparticulartestprogram.Theengineerinresponsiblechargeofthefoundationdesign,referredtohereinastheEngineer,shallapproveanydeviations,deletions,oradditionstotherequirementsofthisstandard.1.3Thisstandardallowsthefollowingtestprocedures:nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;ProcedureA
