【摘要】:Titaniumdioxidepigmentsarecomponentswithhighrefractiveindexthatsignificantlyinfluencetheopacity,color,durability,andotherpropertiesofcoatings.ThistestmethodfordeterminingtitaniumdioxidecontentisquickerandeasiertousethanTestMethodsD1394,awetchemicalanalysismethodforpigments.Itisconvenientlyapplicabletosinglesamplesandtolargenumbersofsamples.Onlyasinglerelativelystablereagentusedtopreparestandardsandpaintsundertestneedbestored.Drawdownspecimensusedasstandards,onceprepared,canbestoredindefinitelyandusedrepeatedly.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftitaniumdioxidecontentinliquidpaint.Thistestmethodisapplicabletobothwater-reducibleandsolvent-reduciblepaints.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaetoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsstatementsaregiveninSection7.
