【摘要】:Accuratequantitativeinformationonaromatichydrocarbontypescanbeusefulindeterminingtheeffectsofpetroleumprocessesonproductionofvariousfinishedfuels.Thisinformationcanalsobeusefulforindicatingthequalityoffuelsandforassessingtherelativecombustionpropertiesoffinishedfuels.1.1Thistestmethodcoversahighperformanceliquidchromatographictestmethodforthedeterminationofmono-aromaticanddi-aromatichydrocarboncontentsinaviationkerosinesandpetroleumdistillatesboilingintherangefrom50to300176;C,suchasJetAorJetA-1fuels.Thetotalaromaticcontentiscalculatedfromthesumoftheindividualaromatichydrocarbon-types.Note18212;Sampleswithafinalboilingpointgreaterthan300176;Cthatcontaintri-aromaticandhigherpolycyclicaromaticcompoundsarenotdeterminedbythistestmethodandshouldbeanalyzedbyTestMethodD6591orothersuitableequivalenttestmethods.1.2Thistestmethodiscalibratedfordistillatescontainingfrom10to25%m/mmono-aromatichydrocarbonsandfrom0to7%m/mdi-aromatichydrocarbons.1.3Theprecisionofthistestmethodhasbeenestablishedforkerosineboilingrangedistillatescontainingfrom10to25%m/mmono-aromatichydrocarbonsandfrom0to7%m/mdi-aromatichydrocarbons.1.4Compoundscontainingsulfur,nitrogen,andoxygenarepossibleinterferents.Mono-alkenesdonotinterfere,butconjugateddi-andpoly-alkenes,ifpresent,arepossibleinterferents.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
